PHOTOGRAPHY OF BELAS KNAP - GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Belas Knap Long Barrow is a Neolithic burial mound and shrine which is located at the top of Cleeve Hill in Gloucestershire, England. It is one of the best examples of its kind and has at least four chambers as well as a false entrance. Estimated to be over 5,000 years old it dates back to the time of the earliest inhabitants of England. More than 30 skeletons have been excavated including the mysterious 'single' round-skull anomaly. The site is currently managed by Gloucestershire County Council in co-operation with English Heritage. (Read the full article about Belas Knap Long Barrow here.)
