Welcome to Curious Britain's index of photographs. With more than ten thousand images ranging from the reenactment of the Battle of Tewkesbury to the mysterious mausoleum of Sir Francis Dashwood we are committed to recording them all.

IMAGES OF BROADWAY TOWER IN THE COTSWOLDS OF ENGLAND

Considered to be one of the top ten iconic buildings of England, Broadway Tower is photogenic in almost any weather condition and has been featured on postcards and posters for more than a century. It has inspired generations of artists, printers and social reformers. Truly beautiful.

IMAGES OF THE MYSTERIOUS BELAS KNAP LONG BARROW

High on the summit of Cleeve Hill is Belas Knap Long Barrow, a neolithic burial mound dating back to 3600 BC. With several burial chambers and a false entrance it is one of the best examples in Britain. It is also the site where the mysterious single round skull was discovered.

A PASSION FOR PHOTOGRAPHY ...

There are few countries that have so many incredible and diverse people and places to photograph as there are in the British Isles. This website is committed to photographing as many of these as we can to record them for history and so that others can appreciate the extraordinary landscapes, buildings and people that make up Great Britain. Not only are they beautiful to look at they often have hidden histories and curious tales to accompany them. People may see a cascading waterfall which is magnificent on its own and still not realise that it is the water from that river that is used to create ten million bottle of Whiskey. Through photographs we aim to help share Britain's remarkable history and future.
